Wiz is an improved version of the "Wizard's Castle" game from 1979.
Wiz is a text adventure game taking place in a
subterranean castle of 8 x 8 x 8 rooms. The rooms and
their contents are randomly generated for each game. There are
vendors you can trade with, mystical pools that can give or
take away power, warps to far parts of the castle, numerous
monsters to fight and assorted treasures to find. The following
commands are available:

The gameplay as explained in Wiz
A long time ago, in the age of the old universal empire the mighty wizard
ZOT lived in a large subterranean castle, collecting a lot of fabulous
treasures during his long life. Feeling the sources of his vital power
draining away, he created a great orb of power the *ORB OF ZOT*. To hide it
from the cretins of the surface beyond, he hired a group of esurient
monsters to guard the *ORB OF ZOT*. From that time onward, many a bold youth
has ventured into the castle, losing his life in cruel and unimaginable
ways.
Differences between Wiz and Wizard's Castle
Wiz has several features that are not present in the original Wizard's Castle game.
The improved Wiz game has detailed room descriptions. The original game
restricts the user to few options in battle and trade situations. The improved
version uses the command interface instead. In the original game, rooms can always
be left in all four directions. In Wiz, the four directions are not always available.
In the original game, there is just one thing in a room (e.g.: either a monster,
a pool or a treasure). In Wiz, the things in a room can be combined.
